Re: Checking interest - Would anyone camp here:

I would love to be in place like that, if you can also provide a completely isolated Tankwa-Karoo style "informal" pin-in-the-ground only campsite. No other people in sight.

    No facilities, but if...

    Re: Falken Wildpeak A/T3W

I am on my second set of Falken AT02 on the D1.

Very good tyre. Good grip on tar, and the LT-spec was very durable in the rocks so far.

Re: Help me - Alternative to 265/70/16 Size??

Meneer, soek jy 'n taaier wat kan lyk of wat kan werk?

Die 235/85 is nie so baie maer nie, en jy gaan die Patrollie met amper 30mm lig.

As jy grip soek, dan doen jy roldiameter voor wydte.

Re: Help me - Alternative to 265/70/16 Size??

Put on a good old 235/85R16

Larger rolling diameter. You will not be sorry.

They are also almost universally LT spec.

    Re: Installed grid-tie inverter today

I got the solar tracker controller working in Alpha version this weekend.

It was great fun. By now, most functions are working, like waking up in the morning and going home in the evening.

    Re: Installed grid-tie inverter today

Mine fortunately does not do shut down. I did check the specs.

However, I am paying for the small current going back into the grid as mine counts it both ways.

    Installed grid-tie inverter today

Since I am busy developing a solar tracker controller that runs on a grid tie inverter, I installed a grid tie inverter for myself to help improve the algorithm for the large systems.

    I bought a...

    Re: CoC. Engineer vs Electrician

For grid tie, there are certainly reason for this requirement.

But I do think one needs to be practical here. For small home based systems, a suitably qualified electrician should be in a position...

There are two things at stake here:

    1. An Engineer signs off on the DESIGN of the system, which will include system configuration, system sizing an in the case of rationale designs, all of that....

Why do you drive a Land Rover?

In the year 1994, my dad still had a W126 Mercedes Benz 300 SE.

He had four of those cars in a row, so I guess he liked them.

However, I guess somewhere something changed and he had a yearning...

Discovery 2: Re: 1999 Disco 2 Head blown

First of all: A vehicle is an expense. Nothing more nothing less.

It will either cost you money on depreciation, interest or maintenance.

So next on your list: A turbo unit - and you may get away with a core only. Albert noted that your maximum boost went up to 2 Bar, which is quite a bit short on what it...

Don't buy it. Then your oaks just don't brutalise the vehicles in the same way.

Steering wheel looks good. This one has a stitched black leather rim where mine - a later model - is polymer all around. Perhaps it was changed.

I considered keeping it for myself for later, so if...
