    Re: Jeep Patriot 4x4

Some vehicle makes have camber adjusting bolts on the rear suspension and yes, they make a visual difference when adjusted. I agree, the OP should ask his preferred tyre-fitment shop to have a...

Re: Triton 3.5 V6 or 3.2D advice please!!!!

The retrofit TC lockup is for the clutch in the TC. The Aussies quite fancy them. It doesn't hold the gear at all. As a matter of fact, a locked TC will result in the gearbox dropping to 3rd even...

Re: Triton 3.5 V6 or 3.2D advice please!!!!

Yes. There is a clutch in the torque converter that locks up. On the Pajeros I owned over the years, it was also manifested by that 200 rpm drop.

    Re: Super Select II

A 2nd lever gives the car a "4x4" look, and my personal favorite is the option to drape my can-tainer over it between cool drinks.

    Re: Super Select II

I came across a Pajero brochure a few years ago that stated the car in a permanent four wheel drive, with a rear wheel drive option for fuel saving.

    Re: Buying Prado - advise

The V6 Prado's perceived problem is all about the gearing. It runs exactly the same gearbox and diff ratios as the diesel. With those ratios it means that top-gear has the engine turning too slowly...
  12. Re: CRUISER 76 4.2D S/W - what to be worried about?

Talk about grey beard on a thread.
I eventually bought another Pajero, the Gen 4 LWB 3.8V6 MIVEC. Wonderful car, bought it on 60k km and traded it on 140k km. That was when I went fully into "this...

The badge on the boot is also GLE.
The stance, for me, says solid rear axle. The GLi6 had independent rear suspension.

Re: EVs dirtier than fossil fuelled vehicles

Well, ESKOM's coal burners can't supply enough oomph for us to even start thinking about going EV on a large scale. That would be like installing 8 geysers per household.
