Re: + and - cable length

There I thought the vehicles body was the negative ... that the only BIG currents in a vehicle is alternator / battery / starter, the rest small compared.

    Re: Sunsynk guru/help needed

All they have to do, Voltronic, is add in the required parts, send it for certification, sorted.

But as I said before, heard a few years back that it costed like Euro 7 000 (R100 000 SA rands) to...

King II, and all the Axpert brands, are under "off-grid" inverters on Voltronic's website: https://voltronicpower.com/en-US/Product/Solar-Products/Off-Grid-Inverter

    Re: Home solar setup advise

We've discussed this on the other thread, the one we derailed. ;D

What I do on the Victron side, as the Sunsync has are very similar ito configuration options, as Victron has ... dead serious.

    Re: Sunsynk guru/help needed

    Let me keep it simple:
Sunsynk is on the list of NRS approved inverters. Sorted!

Axpert, the only way to legally do it, is to have it totally separate from the grid, as in totally off-grid ......

Axpert, not the King, are sold by Voltronic as off-grid inverters.

The King, it does not have the NRS 097-2-1.2017, Type B grid compliant, certification. As is required by SANS/NRS regulations.

Whow, wag so bietjie ... if a inverter is connected to a DB, and that DB is connected to the grid, then that inverter is also connected to the grid.

Not a problem if it is a UPS, with a CoC.

Regarding the voltages running away, I assume it is lead acid(?), couild also be a faulty battery.

I use NoArk breakers that one can disconnect under load. Just connect them correctly. ;)

  35. Re: House to run ob solar when sun shines

    Thank you.

For information for those who don't know:
To make a Victron setup, more expensive yes, to do EXACTLY the same as a Solis, you need to add a battery bank and a inverter i.e. DC-AC....
