Re: Tyre rotation when one set has tyre pull

Rotate as per normal and see what they do. A lot of times the tyre 'settles' and don't cause pulling on the front again. Rotate first, then do alignment. Sometimes changing tyres can skew the...

MediaRelease: Re: What Tyres to choose

Just be aware the lower speed rating might be an insurance issue. Duratrac has a 'Q' Rating and the Adventure a 'T'

MediaRelease: Re: What Tyres to choose

Was it the Wrangler Adventures? or ATSA? Remember the Adventure has the Kevlar layer so might help if it is "through the tread" of the tyre.

I have a private guy I use. He knows his onions, never had a problem with his work. He is a gearbox specialist, but is in Northern Suburbs. Let me know, then I'll PM you his number.

Re: Larger wheels on a Venter

If the wheel arches allow (sometimes they can be moved up, not sure about Venter) I reckon it's a great idea. If you fit all terrains you'll only change them every 5 years. A trailers nose pointing...

Re: Delamination - compensation from manufacturer

Although not a 4x4 vehicle or tyre. I had the same with a set of Pirelli's fitted to a Vito. Tyres became noisy after 7000km. Alignment was done and had the report that it was correct. All 4 tyres...

Re: Delamination - compensation from supplier ?

How old is the tyre? If it's older than 5 years, no tyre manufacturer will honour a claim. If younger than that, I reckon you have a chance of getting at least a pro rata reimbursement.

Defender Re: Defender pulling left when braking

Bleed the brakes. See if there is enough pressure to BOTH the front calipers. If one seems to have more pressure than the other, it could be a blocked brake pipe. They tend to perish inside and then...

Re: Toyota Fortuner All Terrain tyres

Personally. If you need a 3 ply sidewall go with BFG. The Dunlop AT3G is very close to the same price, but I'm sure the BFG will be easier to get should you need to replace one.

    If you don't, I...

    Re: Goodyear duratrack tyres

That argument doesn't hold water. Even a tyre on a Tazz has a 'T' rating which is 190km/h, and nobody is going to be concerned about speed rating going down a mineshaft.

    I've had to change tyres...
