Re: Prado 150: 4.0 Petrol vs 2.8 Diesel

I love my V6 prado, the effortless cruising and overtaking, but I also love the smell and sound of a diesel Hilux on a cold morning out in the bush waiting to take you out to stalk some game or chase...
  2. Re: Why do LED festoon bulbs still glow when switched off?

Mine too, I've even disconnected the live in the switch and it continued to do so, electrician said not too worry, I thought I'd discovered free power ;D
  3. Re: Brake Pad Replacement - can i do it myself ?

    Re: Air gun restore???

Airguns are pretty worthless in SA, I have a almost spotless original Feinwerkbau 110 that's got an overseas "blue book" value of $2000US but here it's not worth R7k, so unless it's a sentimental...

    Re: 1GR-FE (4.0 V6) mileage

Radiator pipe popped off and head gaskets blew, but I suspect pipe popped off due to increased combustion pressure in cooling system, so I'm not 100% sure of the cause yet, the Prado has 399kkm on it.

If sump compression is high enough to push out that seal, it'd have pushed out your dipstick (or your car's dipstick;D) first, I suspect not fitted correctly.
