Re: Bad start to my day with the ROK

I think it's the society. A society bred to simply get when they demand. Don't even ask anymore. They demand. If demands aren't met, they pillage and burn. This is our society. Expecting...

And good riddance because of it. If you want to shoot people out of road rage, you definitely don't deserve a firearm.

I had this problem in another car of mine. Turns out the fan vents that take in air was taking on water. The well in the black plastic under the windscreen was clogged with leaves and it caused the...

Re: Wat is die broodboom werd?

Yeah those Sago Palms are pretty, but quite cheap. I have a bunch at home. Got one that someone tossed out a few years ago, stuck it in a pot, then it shot up babies. Shortly after the dogs chewed...

    Re: Weber Q gas braai

Thanks, but I specifically want those old, heavy grids. They're wonderful, and much less sticky than SS.

Hey man, I wouldn't mind taking the grates off your hands. What do they weigh, and what size are they? Would shipping be an option?

    Re: Spider ID

Nope. Knopies se pote word dunner en "skerper" vorentoe, en is nie so "vaal" in hulle kleure nie. Ook nie so groot nie. Daardie lyk vir my soos 'n wolfspinnekop. Flippen vinnig, maar skadeloos.

Re: 4x4 Rock Climber for the Laaities

It looks like a cheapish Chinese thing to me. A 700mAh battery is tiny. It's going to spend by far the most time on the charger.

Re: 6x9's in Amarok rear doors - Do they fit

What amp are you looking for? Size? I have a bit of a monster at home that I'm not using. It's pretty old, but was barely used, still has plastic all around it. It's a locally built amp, Nemesis...

Re: 6x9's in Amarok rear doors - Do they fit

The size doesn't matter, but the shape does. An oval cone with a round voice coil doesn't add up. The inside of the speaker moves at X speed, in accordance to the frequency of the sound, and the...

Re: 6x9's in Amarok rear doors - Do they fit

I lied, sorry, it's not B&W that bought them, it's Harman & Kardon. They logo or the name would be on the speaker or the box, or on the product page. If you look at that link, you'll see the word...

Re: 6x9's in Amarok rear doors - Do they fit

6.5" is a nice size. If you get a good set of coaxials, they'll work. If you're going JBL, just make sure it's a newer model and not the pre-B&W models. After B&W bought out JBL, their tweeters...

Re: 6x9's in Amarok rear doors - Do they fit

Don't. Get decent co-axles or something similar rather. Preferably, something that fits the factory speaker gaps, perhaps with just a spacer for larger magnets.

    6x9's suck.

Re: Nitecore repairs (out of warranty item)

Nitecore.co.za, or Celesti here, isn't a warranty and repair centre for Nitecore, I found out. They're just a local reseller. They sell and handle in-warranty issues, but out of warranty they can't...

Re: Honda CRV 2.0 fuel consumption

It's heavy in town. I have the 2013 model, 2.0 Manual, and yes, beautiful car, but not high on power. You learn to drive it better eventually. I get around 9l/100km in town now. On highways it...

    Re: Heavy duty braai grids

Stainless steel isn't needed. A good high-carbon steel would be fine, considering you're not going to wash it after each use. Seasoned well, it shouldn't rust. I want this. I so much want this:

    Re: "Beginners" Tent

  30. Re: This is the best way to blow one bar: buy a Maserati.
