I am sure should the OP is serious about getting info on Toyota's vs Ford's he will ask the question in a general forum and if he wanted to ask if he should buy a 2.8 vs 2.4 Hilux it would have been...

Re: Why should I not buy a Ranger

I think that is the whole problem with a lot of Toyota owners, and why some of them would never consider anything else.

I can not comment on the Ranger, as I haven't owned a modern example, but I...

Re: Living with a Jimny and a baby

Fair enough. I have a new Duster, drive train the same as the old one's but the refinement is much, much better. Will still see what reliabilty is like I am currently at about 15k km. But I still...

Living with a Jimny and a baby

What I can tell you is that it is really comfortable, the suspension does very well on our less than perfect secondary roads.

I know the Duster is based on the XTrail's system, I assume the newer versions and it has traction control/lsd. Has anyone here tried it on cross axles? Any video's perhaps?

At the price I don't think there is anything to beat it. The only other option at the price is probably a Mahindra s11 Pickup.

For that budget you sould be able to find any of the ďentryĒ double cabs with auto and 4x4 in a 2019 model and below 20k km on the clock. So it will come down to personal taste.

    Re: Buying advice needed!

At that price range you should be able to find a nice 2.2 Ranger with much lower mileage and a newer model.

Iíve seen some advertised with mileage below 100k.
