Re: Is this winch on back to front?

Personally, I prefer the cable out the top. Then I can monitor the cable track and slack.

    Re: New Maxxis Razzor AT

    Let's put it differently.

Maxxis have got the compound down pat and the sidewall protection is brilliant.

Be it the Razr, Mining Razr or the AT Razr, I will go head to head with anybody.

Re: 3.0 vs 4.0 on Prado

Going the full electronic 1KD route is a nightmare going 1KD mechanical is a lot more reasonable.

Re: 3.0 vs 4.0 on Prado

Granted, the KZ was def not the finest hr. But, that was the testbed for the 1KD. 3.0 D4D.

  13. Re: Advice needed with low powered Ford Ranger 2.2

The wastegate on the turbo not stuck?
    CAT not blocked?
    EGR blocked off?
Musn't the intake manifold be cleaned out?
  14. Re: Advice needed with low powered Ford Ranger 2.2

Sounds like a boost issue that can also come from an enrichment issue. You need fuel to spin up the turbo. If there is a shortage of fuel, reduced boost..
Could also be a leak of boost. A little...

    Re: Prado Experts HELP!

That price is to low for the Lexus implant. Budget on R100k.
And that space under the bonnet is a bitch.
I would stick with the v6.

Re: Struggling to start after head gasket fix

    Couple of things.
Are the pipes connected to the right injectors?
If CR, are the injectors in the right places?
    Is the pump timing right?
    Is the power right?
    Is the fuel consumption right?

    Re: 3.2 did engine gesoek

    Ek stem nie saam nie.

Bestudeer die timing merke en maak seker jy verstaan hulle. Menige engine oop gemaak waar die cowboys in was, en dan is die merke nie reg nie.

Ja, daardie timing merke is 'n pes.

    Re: Nightmare new VW engine

If that engine is running well, then give it some Uniglide to "lock in that condition". Then on every service, just a 500ml topup.

I quite enjoy that engine. Pulls really well.
