Quickly checked in service book, car was sold as new in June 2010, manufactured letter part of 2009. Repair R6000. Small price to pay for an incredible vehicle:)
I am pedantic about the services of my high mileage 3.2 Triton 2010, 254k km Thus, after reading about crank shaft pulley failure I instructed the reputable Mitsu non agent service station that...
Goodness that is remarkably cheaper! Important now to have the right part number to match with diegarage part numbers
Does anyone have the part number for 2010 Triton, appreciate.
How difficult is it to get to the evaporator, I take for granted it is under the dash board in the cabin?
Daar is darem wraggies iets groot fout met voorkant van daardie bakkie, ander grill en ligte en buffer?
My Pa het daai einste Izuzu bakkie gery, so 'n mooi donker bruin metallic - in die 80's in Namakwaland was hulle baie gewild, kanniedood.

Marius, if you don't mind explain your choice of Triton - seems to be the model just before the latest model, longer over hang at back wheels, what other motivation? Also looking.
Excellent report, reads like very high level academic book, just love it. BTW, valves to by pass silencers, that is epic!

Have you you gone through the network of vacuum pipes to check connections and a possible leak? I don't know if a squirt with soapy water would point to a leak, since it is vacuum? Experts...
Once a Mitsu-family always a Mitsu-family;D
See a 2016 PS 116k km R330k at Motorport Bayside, reputable dealer, are you in Kenridge?

I really like the two bags next to the ladder, sure those are for shoes, great idea, never know what to do with sandy shoes. Enjoy, looks blissful.
Sand boards or sit on boards to pull behind vehicle, extra cost.
Wayne, you might just do more km's than you anticipated, or budgeted for - enjoy many of us want to own one^-^
Welkom Wilhelm, hoop jy het baie veilige, interessante reise. Die "reg kry" eindig nie sommer vinnig nie, gelukkig help die forum baie met besluite, geniet.
Thank you Riaan, what a confidence booster, if a rather low key adjustment nut is news worthy;D
I rather play safe, also take my NL battery box out of the back of the bakkie, then open the lid, fitted butterfly nuts, loosen easily and connect quality trickle charger directly to deep cycle...
Welcome - you are living the dream! Many happy miles!
Souty, seems fair - also depends on what kind of car? Something I would rather have repaired by reputable mechanic. Make sure you get a certain amount of km's warranty.
I have added a kitchen top to the canopy, kitchen must still be kitted out, need ideas.
My bother drives a 300TDI Kalahari 110 Landrover. Very well maintained. I have lots of admiration for this go anywhere no nonsense truck. However, as he resides in Fish Hoek, the Landy needs a...
Riaan, glad you mention you got used to it, will put my mind at ease, my Triton the very same, did some serious routes last week(impossible without 4x4 engaged), long stretches 4x4 light flickering...
Not rocket science, as described above - instead of using water paper, I used "staalwol" - worked a treat - dramatic change. One coat of clear spray is sufficient, used two coats on one of the head...
Goodness, must be many of our Forumites with the same challenge.
I do not have warranty, but do not want the 2nd battery exposed to engine heat, thus have NL battery box (extended leads comes with...
Fairly neat on my vehicle as well, as said earlier, feel more comfortable living with it when it is clean. Also have the Wednesday "landscaper" do it for me. I am a firm believer that I send a clean...
Not withstanding the striking two number plates, those spotlight mountings look really neat - is that something your bought after market or made yourself?
Reenen sal graag die naweek daar by jou wil kom kamp. Sal waardeer as jy asseblief net vinnig kyk na die Mitsi se enjin, iets klink bietjie grof;D
Oswald, I share your plight, also the first thing I do when I get my car back from a service........but on this here forum the topic was discussed at length, normal to have black oil after oil change...
Just thinking out load - I am sure any reputable Clutch and Brake center would be able to hone/bore (recon) the cylinder, may be give them a call?
Your post had me interested, seems the fault reader is a very handy tool. Found this video, even I can understand most of it.;D
Hope you get it sorted soon....
AJS - it is really much of a muchness. You are looking at the top three SUV's, they are all very good. Agreed - test drive all three, develop your own choice. The best advice - that your wife with...
More info please, model Pajero, where did you have it fitted and cost.
Then please explain the "method" behind the throttle controller.
Any associated risks?
Very curious, your reaction makes me...
I can only go on what service centers use in my bakkie - 245k km: Total Rubia TIR 7400 and gearbox oil ONLY agents - must be red.
Wow inspiration for us 3.2 owners, at 520k km that is epic! Sounds similar to my engine at half the kilo's, yours seems fine. Various threads on the forum that points to the 3.2 needing extra omph...
