not disputing that they performed differently, just highlighted that your complaint about toyota not tuning their vehicles individually applies to every single motor manufacturer in the world.
...
NO manufacturer “tunes” their vehicles individually. Every single Hilux with that engine in that state of tune has the exact same map on it from the factory Same goes for VW, Ford and any mass...
Pirelli Scorpion 255/40R20 R4201 (one tyre only)
Hit a massive pothole with the Tiguan and RF has nice big egg on the sidewall so no option but to replace
A quiet road made for a very nice trip back up to JHB. Faster higher speed but slightly lower consumption, did not drive faster, just spent less time stuck behind trucks and did the Knysna-George...
cc was replaced by the arteon, except nobody bought them so was discontinued. Pretty much the same for the passat. Problem is VW cant keep on trying to sell cars people don’t want to buy its just too...
I have not used the OBDELEVEN so cannot compare, I have a vagcom and its paid for itself many times over, you now get cheaper versions that are VIN limited for private users

I dont agree, if you have crap in the bottom of the sump then you have bigger problems than just an oil change. Also the oil pickup strainer and oil filter is there to catch that anyway.
Done...
bel eers en maak seker hulle het die proper tools om n vw te scan. Die generic scanners gaan nie vir jou die regte antwoord gee nie.
Daar is n vcds owners list erens, kyk dalk of daar ieman naby...
doen n proper scan met vcds voor jy verder gaan, heel moontlik sal dit vir jou presies se wat fout is. Op my ou Treg het die cc ophou werk agv van n probleem in die module wat in die stuurwiel sit.
then you just buy the right viscosity, also next time buy an extra 500ml bottle from goldwagen and keep it in the boot. VW’s are particular about their oil so I always keep a bottle in the boot just...
name brand oils only, anything from shell, mobil, fuchs, liqui moly etc. Check in your service book for the oil spec and make sure whatever you buy conforms to that.
problem is once you remove the valve spring the valve will drop into the piston.... There are a few tricks however.
one I have used with success is to remove camshaft(s) then shove a pantyhose...
That is impressive economy, I expect our consumption to drop once the engine loosens up a bit.
Pad was bietjie besig tot by Bloem (dink n paar mense het dieselde idee gehad om n dag vroeer te ry vir Paas naweek) so het so omenby 120 gemiddelde spoed gehandhaaf, daarna was dit was lekker stil...
did Benoni to Knysna today, left at 4 in the morning and pulled into Knysa 12 hours later with 2 stops including a nice long lunch in Graaff-Reinet along the way. When we hit George the ave speed was...
I've never heard of a waterpump failure on the V6
Poly V belt is around 100k km IIRC, I did the one on the Treg at 160k km for the first time. Beyond that no real maintenance on the V6, at around 200-250k km you will possibly need to to look at...
Being SWAMBO's car I dont drive it that often but every time I do I'm liking it more and more. SWAMBO absolutely loves it and any (joking) suggestion of swapping cars will instantly lower the...
VERY NICE!!!
PS Stick those pics on Facebook to get a bit more exposure
Not talking you out of it, just giving you a headsup so you walk into this eyes open. I sold my treg for a packet of chips and coke money when the problems started racking up, but still bought...
was going to suggest the same. Super nice guy that has fabricated some seriously nice cars over the years. If he cant do it then it cannot be done.
I knew the engine had a 48 volt electric supercharger, I did not know that each cylinders 2 exhaust valves each feeds a different turbo and at low power demands one exhaust valve stays closed so only...
I had a kessy issue where the system would stop responding so you could not start the car (car would unlock but then nothing), solution was to pull the fuse to reset it after which it would be fine...
This bit does not make sense to me, public transport should not be funded through the fuel levy
I do not agree with point 1, I'm battling to finds stats so not sure how you arrive at the fact that the fuel levy is insufficient to maintain roads?
Point 2 is irrelevant to the current debate...
None of the above for me.
This is nothing more than double taxation as I'm already paying to use these road via the fuel levy.
E Tolls is just another form of taxation and we are so far along...
I bit the bullet and bough a EU22 generator about a year ago. Yes they are expensive but what a pleasure to use, easy to fire up and very quiet. Happily runs the lights, TV, computers etc in the house
Q7 is MUCH better as expected, its 7 seats is a viable option for most passengers. Even teenagers can sit at the back for extended journeys, bit of a fuss to get on but once there they are comfy -...
Sounds like you have an issue with the spigot ring size, why not look at getting an adaptor plate made up that fits the BL hub on one side and has the smaller spigot ring on the other so that you can...
We're not too woried about the extra seats, its more about the extra luggage space. The CC has a HUGE boot, so even on the school run it gobbled up school bags and kit bags without fuss. The standard...
Manual said adaptive cruise control only works up to 160km/h so I had to verify the facts 8-)
There is a couple of very nice ones around the 3year/60km mark out there. The facelift is due out 3rd...
Poverty spec would be the trendline, and seriously it was never even a consideration. On the poverty spec model there is always that hole in the dash with plastic cover plate and every time you see...
drove back up to JHB today, roads were quieter so averaged higher speeds. Still returned 9.2L/100km, 4 up, boot full and no attempt at economy driving. I know its not diesel economy but I’m still...
race car gets torqued to 100nm and checked before every session, I have yet to loose a wheel on track.
I keep a power bar and long socket in the boot just for those times when you battle to get...
