I dont agree, if you have crap in the bottom of the sump then you have bigger problems than just an oil change. Also the oil pickup strainer and oil filter is there to catch that anyway.

name brand oils only, anything from shell, mobil, fuchs, liqui moly etc. Check in your service book for the oil spec and make sure whatever you buy conforms to that.
