Re: Full time 4wheel or Rear wheel

When I say on the fly, it means I can change between any high range mode of driving up to 100km/h without pressing clutch or anything extra. Just drive straight while doing it.

Re: Full time 4wheel or Rear wheel

Newer models and the 2,5 triton all have super select. The colt and 3,2 triton had normal 4x4 only.

Re: Full time 4wheel or Rear wheel

That's where Mitsubishi is awesome as you can choose what you want to use on the fly. I drive my pajero in rear wheel drive on clear sunny days and when it is raining I put into permanent 4 wheel...

Re: Using solar energy for an irrigation pivot.

The pump size at the farm I work at is 65kw. The problem I see though is cause we have good rain in summer months we only really use the pivot in winter which means the capital outlay is quite big...

Re: Using solar energy for an irrigation pivot.

Why do you add the pump kw ratings and then multiply by 2?

I am very interested in this also....
  7. Re: Cost of owning a 4x4 that cost less than R40K

That is very bad. My 3,5l v6 petrol guzzler pajero costs about that in fuel.
  8. Re: Cost of owning a 4x4 that cost less than R40K

Nothing new. New 4x4 vehicles are 8k plus a month and that is with a balloon payment too.

    Re: My new POS V6

Have a look at some audience sites, they have such awesome bins that are made and I think work so much better depending on the final and intended use of the van

These do charge over ac as long as there is ac supply given to it.
There is a pwm charger you can buy for these inverter made by mecer.

  32. Re: Petrol-driven or Solar/Battery-driven generator

Yes, is 2 batteries but in that link they only 80ah batteries. Very expensive package that.
  33. Re: Petrol-driven or Solar/Battery-driven generator

Ok, well anyway, I been using it like this for the last 2 and half years and no issues yet fortunately. I am hoping to upgrade to a 5000 watt inverter but when I can.
  34. Re: Petrol-driven or Solar/Battery-driven generator

Yes, the mecer is not modified sinewave. It is simulated which is different to modified. (Well at least from everything I have managed to read up). But I am happy to learn so will look it up again.
  35. Re: Petrol-driven or Solar/Battery-driven generator

First thing is the power outputs from the items you looking at are very different.
The inverter is only 1600w and the generator is 5500w.
I use the mecer simulated sine wave inverter amd no issues...
