    ELM327 works just fine.

The amount of interface will depend on your vehicle.
  5. Re: New proud Landcruiser owner, need help with dual battery system

Measure the space on the roof and buy the panels that would fit in.

The more the beter, you can never have to much solar in Africa >:D
  6. Re: New proud Landcruiser owner, need help with dual battery system

    The Flexopower panels will work.

The BlueNova battery should fit in that box but check specs.

I am not sure about the controller and the DC-DC?

Consult with the manufacturer for specs.

    .
  7. Re: New proud Landcruiser owner, need help with dual battery system

If the solar controller and DC-DC charger are LiFePO4 compatible I would go with the BlueNova.

I would not fit the solar panels on the vehicle but would rather get loose panels that I can move...

    Re: Connecting a third battery

Re: Downward facing trailer, or long towbar?

By law in South Africa the towball weight has to be between 25 kg and 100 kg.

On your setup I think a towball weight of between 30 - 50kg will be in order.

If so, just leave it as is ;D

Re: On board water, what do we do with it?

    OT

Johan I agree with you that the water in the tanks makes it more stable.

But 150kg is approximately 10% of the overall weight, this will effect fuel consumption.

    I think the user should...

Re: Camping coffee: share your preferred way

I think the groove/channel in which the plunger slides is the culprit. I have no idea why they had to put that little hole there
