    Exactly, and in the case of my Patrol 3.0CRD its also rev dependent - it closed fully above certain revs regardless of throttle opening (TPS value)

    It is misconception that components need to be fused. It is your wiring you want to protect.. So yes everything must be fused as close to the power source positive as possible.

    Not recommended - from Mhinga to Tshkuma(Levubu) is a schlepp...very busy, lots of local taxis, "hoenerhok" bakkies etc etc. Takes forever

    Depends on what batteries.

    Lead acid, keep them charged at home, preferably via the Victron

    LiFePO4, dont....they like being stored at around 50% charge. Not good to keep them fully charged for...

    But as said, one instance of making toast will drain up to 5Ah !

    Always remove negative connection first and reconnect last, after everything including holding down clamps etc. etc.. This is the safe way

    OK, clamp on the exhaust and weld on the chassis or vice versa.... guaranteed big shyte with your electronics as the current will go via engine, alternator, ECUs as well as engine to body...
