  1. Re: My DIY front bumper IFS Hilux (1997-2005)

Placed the order today, expecting to get it by next Monday. R2.3k for cutting and bending in 2mm flat plate. I've omitted the internal bracing for now, as I need to first test fit to test for...
  2. My DIY front bumper IFS Hilux (1997-2005)

After hitting a francolin (patrys) some time ago, and having it punch a hole in the front plastic valance, a steel bumper has been on my to do list. The costs of an off the shelf one are prohibitive,...

    Re: Recovery hook hole spacing

Edit: The hole spacing is 36mm centre to centre, but the holes are offset from one another. The distance between parallel lines drawn through the centres, perpendicular to the chassis rail is 35mm
  4. Re: So I bought a 1990 Hilux SFA - now where to refurbish?

I know NudgeM used to make for the SFA. It should be the same as the 1997-2005 IFS Hilux ones as well. I have a CAD drawing of one to be laser cut and bent up, but that will require some welding and...
  5. Suspension Re: Hilux load sensor bracket broken after fitting OME suspension

That load sensor is for the brake proportioning valve mainly and the lights as a secondary function. With more load in the rear, it makes the rear brakes work more than they would under no load.

Nor the diving. The water was maybe too clean? Didn't see much at all, and no size crayfish.

    Re: Recovery hook hole spacing

60 mm sounded a bit big, so after rolling around in the dirt under the Hilux, I can confirm that the hole spacing is 36mm.

    Recovery hook hole spacing

    Hi there

Does anyone know the hole spacing (and diameter) on the standard Toyota recovery hook that bolts to the front chassis member? I want to draw up a bracket that mounts to the holes.

Re: Long range fuel tank Piping on Ranger

You'll presumably have to install a fitting on the main tank and connect it up to the lowest fitting on the LR tank. This will entail draining the main tank, dropping it, drilling a hole etc.
  21. Re: So I bought a 1990 Hilux SFA - now where to refurbish?

If you don't want half arsed, then you have two options: sell what you have and buy what you want, or fix what you have until its what you want. It's probably going to cost you the same in the end.
