  2. Re: Have you been fined for a light bar on your vehicle in Namibia?

Here they still count individual led as a bulb, so multi led spotlight is a no-no. Single led spots are ok.
  3. Re: Have you been fined for a light bar on your vehicle in Namibia?

I had to remove my led spots at a roadblock or pay a fine. Officer was friendly and gave me the option, so took them off there and he let me go on my merry way.

Weight will most probably be a bit less than other overlanding 130's I have seen because of the materials used. And key on this build is the weight distribution, basically stripping all down and...

  8. Re: Information about the road from Ruacana to Epupa Falls

Road is worth the drive, much easier to do than a few years ago. As that is rainy season best would be to ask at the accommodation place you are staying at the night before if the river crossings are...

Also running a 60l engel for about 10yrs now, thing has taken a beating and keeps on ticking.

Nothing wrong with the NL, and parts are available.

You will be fine with either one of them.

Re: Namibia trip: support vehicle or not?

Was thinking the same thing, if not camping and staying at lodges it can't be all that remote. 90% of the lodges are on main tourist routes etc and are often not more than say 350km from each other....
