    Ok then. I had the same problem on a Mercedes C180K. Turned out the rear light "cluster"or holder was actually faulty. Had to replace the unit. It is the plastic frame which holds the bulbs.

    Wicus, the 2.2 D4D engines were known for blowing head gaskets due to too short head bolts. Toyota repaced many subs. Never heard of one breaking a crank though.

    Since you are in Europe, also consider the Renault Kangoo 4x4 and Fiat Panda 4x4. They are smallish and have very good ground clearance

    That is the one part of the styling which I also find a bit off. The nose as a whole is a bit narrow, almost like a woman with thin lips!>:D
