You should never...
Unless I had a reason to do the R26 I honestly just do N3/N5. I do the N3 from Villiers to Ladysmith every week, and while there is road works, it hasn't added much to the trip. The N5 from...
N3 should be fine, I get off at Villiers, and there's loads of roadworks from there going to Durban, but not sure about the portion you'll be driving. Did the R26 about a year ago and it was fine....
Hi Gareth, the unit I had fitted was a Sony XAV-AX1000, and as far as I know, did Apple CarPlay only, not android auto. Cost for the unit, installed, with facia, was about R6k. I consider it a...
That's unfortunate
Have we not moved on from standalone GPS unit's in cars? T4A has Android and Apple apps, and if these work with CarPlay or Android Auto, I'd suggest giving this a hard look. Aftermarket headhunts...
No turbo. It's not called a donkey for nothing...
I must agree with this. My Mini had pano roof, with a mesh sliding covers that I imagine someone in Europe thought would help with diffusing harsh light, but it did nothing for the heat. Fortunately...

Looking for R160k, but open to reasonable offers on that, it needs to move by the end of the month.
Vehicle has FSH with dealer, 245,000km, and is priced to move quickly, as I'm emigrating.
Please contact me on PM for pics, or call/whatsapp zero eight 2 4 six nine double 5 three two.
If I couldn't see my car from where I am typing this, I'd think you just drove it. This is exactly how mine behaves.
Uys, and Reenen and Smarty and everyone else that commented, thank you. I do not know why I think tractors are as cool as I do, but I do, and I love this thread so much!
Don't let facts ruin a good story;D
This assumes you have excess capacity when you want it. Nett metering is IMO (and with a stable grid to back it up), the best solution. You can reduce the need for expensive batteries, and the grid...
Between a FL2 and a Pajero or PS, I'm very biased, but would go Mitsu. I've had a 3.2 Gen4 Pajero, which I loved, and currently a 2.5 PS, which is hands down my favourite Mitsubishi I've owned. I get...
"Ways for Waze" is not the official Waze app, so that's what it was.
Waze works pretty well, but I end up using all three major options. I've found Waze to be iffy with search, so if I'm looking...
Install Waze on your iPhone, connect to the car. Depending on the screen it starts on (it may be the three pane split screen) hit the icon in the bottom left of the CarPlay display, it looks like 2...
I am a huge Mitsubishi fan, but when I got to 'Long awaited' and then ' Best selling' I found it very hard to read any further. How many tritons are sold a year? 50? 100?
Somewhere between your and my age there is a split, I wonder if it is a hard line between guys that feel like you, and guys like me that feel the complete opposite, or if there are a few years worth...
That is not necessarily the case, my FIL just went through a similar exercise during lockdown and has scanned thousands of old photos. about half way through he realised the scanner software was...
Is it a key-less ignition, or do you insert the key somewhere and push the start button? If the latter, the key is powered by the car when you insert it, so no problem. The former, I'm sure there is...
Check on the headlight unit, there should be a bolt you tighten or loosen to adjust to within spec
The point is you don't need to. There is adjustment at the headlights that you set once, and then the auto levelling keeps it there.
It is an indicator for the self levelling headlights. Put a heavy load in the back and I think the light comes on. Adjust headlights to your desired height, and this system will keep them there...
It's not a new car, but it's been well looked after, and is priced to go.
This is how I see it too.
You are spending most of the return on your R250k investment, so it has close to zero growth. Bar huge interest rate changes, that 6% is probably what you'll get out...
Electrical loss to heat is calculated by I^2*R, For the same total power output, a 12V system has 16 times the loss as a 48V system (all thing being equal)
I sadly need to sell my Pajero Sport as we are emigrating. If anyone is looking for one, please hit me up. It's been my favourite Mitsu vehicle thus far, and I'm really sorry to see it go.
Vehicle...
I don't work with high current DC systems much, and there may be limits to the current imposed by SANS based on voltage levels that make the above not completely true, but, in general, I agree with...
Is this a new shape or previous shape PS? The previous shape had a recall on the radiator cap.
I suspect those tiny battery leads at 30A will any bystanders into byrunners or byhiders very quickly..
