    Re: Garmin Base Camp lost!

Basecamp 4.7.0 runs fine on my Win10 desktop PC.

What is the error message you are getting? This should give some clue as to why it is not installing.

Re: Battery charger for x2 batteries

I have been doing exactly this with two batteries connected in parallel, batteries are now some 6 - 7 years old and still holding out well. Initially with a Benton BX2 maintenance charger which...

Very sad to read this, condolences to your family for their loss.

    Re: Decent vehicle battery brand?

I get over seven years with Raylite batteries in my various vehicles, not all of which are driven that often. I'm very happy with them.

Re: Impressed with China Pure Sine Wave Inverter

Much as I dislike connecting two batteries in parallel, I have to admit I have been running two Raylite 102A/Hr batteries connected in parallel to a 12v 1500 PSW Inverter and have been running them...

Re: Impressed with China Pure Sine Wave Inverter

An 8-Amp charger is extremely marginal for charging one 100A 12v battery during stage 2 load-sheddding, I doubt it will fully charge the battery in the available time. It will defintely not suffice...

Re: Impressed with China Pure Sine Wave Inverter

Just received notification from Buffalo that Fastway Couriers will be delivering my inverter tomorrow morning. Moving quickly now that the Chinese New Year is over.

Re: Impressed with China Pure Sine Wave Inverter

When paying via PayPal, using their standard delivery. This is usually very good and Buffalo Couriers handle the last leg in SA.

The delays recently are no doubt caused by the Chinese New Year...

    Re: Modified sine wave inverter

I hate MSW products with a passion. It might possibly work, but the charger electronics was never designed for such a crappy waveform.

What radios are they? I don't know of any portable radios not...

Sebastiaan, we do have Ring Connector Leads in stock. The red-plug fits the BX-2 as well as the BX-1Pro and the new BX1 series, the older BX1` series had a white connector block.

    Re: Looking for inverter

Agreed, you can do more damage to ancillary equipment when using a MSW, a PSW Inverter is the way to go.

    Re: Show your Macro

Nice shots, Peter. If any of these things were the same size as a human being, I would simply drop dead on the spot.

What on earth are those things with multi-eyes in pics 2 & 4? Scary critters.

    Re: Inverter for bakkie

Stay away from the cheaper Modified Sine Wave inverters, they can be compared to pushing a wheel barrow with a square wheel. Go for a Pure Sine Wave unit from the word go.

Re: Help! LC 200 Colour Choices

Stay away from the dark colours. I like the grey as well but after a horrific experience with a 3-week old Opel Monza some years back, I will never touch a grey car again. Guy pulled out in front of...
  31. Re: How to organise/classify a record collection

Nice! Technics SL1200? I have one of those in my TT collection too. I would suggest lifting your speakers somewhat, you want them at ear-height when you're seated in your favourite chair. Try toeing...
  32. Re: How to organise/classify a record collection

  33. Re: How to organise/classify a record collection

  34. Re: How to organise/classify a record collection
