    Something I learnt during the week is that traditional Jamaican rums are made with only molasses and yeast, whereas in Barbados sugar is also used.

    Rum is made either with molasses ( and with added brown sugar for some recipes) or with sugarcane juice, surely using just brown sugar doesn't make it a "rum"?

    From what I remember the Triton was one of the dc's with the most interior space at that time, especially the back seat area so your thoughts hold value.

    Used a teaspoon of the uncured flavouring for The Blonde, who had to taste (again) and one without.

    The second batch with more sugar still has to be processed so we can't do taste comparisons...

    Collected some of the backset/ stillage, added a bit of vanilla essence and cinnamon while warm to use as a flavouring experiment.

    Second batch, this one with 2kg molasses and 4kg sugar with 25l water was stripped, came out crystal clear. I still need to do the spirit run on this.

    Which cleared up perfectly on the spirit run. This after an eyeball Mk1 dilution ended up at 57% - no wonder it made my missus's ears warm when she just had to taste :)

    So batch one was stripped over the weekend, 4kg molasses and 2kg brown sugar and 20l water. For some reason, which I suspect is heat, this started discolouring three quarters into the run.

    The brake components ie discs and pads are also shared with the Prado. The details of which models this applies to ellude me at the moment. I know on the Gen4 they are the same.

    Jens, the Pajero Sport 3.2 as in the Triton is a common rail engine, the PS has a different 4 speed geabox and other drivetrain components ie rear suspension differs quite a bit. I don't think one...

    Something I picked up in an experiment with the first batch of cider/pineapple wash is that the chips after infusion made the mix foam when had with Coke..made me go hhhhmmm..
