Re: Prado 120 - living with and little fixes

Hi Warren, I know that a few guys on LCCSA have got Viper to do their exhausts on the 120. I'm not 100% sure whether it is bolt on kit or not? If you do come right let me know as I would be...
  2. Re: Is Toyota consciously limiting stock to inflate demand and thus prices?

I have noticed this as well, particularly with buy & sell groups on Facebook. 60k km, slap an aftermarket front and rear bumper on and ask R850k. Madness!

Andrew have you tried contacting any of the boating shops? It's a long shot but they might be able to assist?
  4. Re: 1st Hand Advise Needed - Fazer 170 Boat (somewhat urgent)

    Hi Petri,

Fazers are good hulls and the 115 Yamaha is bulletproof. It may struggle pulling out a 115kg person on a slalom (Get someone to sit in front when pulling them out to get the boat to...

Re: Y62 Patrol (Facelift) or V6 Prado (Facelift)

The Patrol is a much bigger, heavier vehicle with a bigger engine. A 5.6 V8 shaped like a brick will be very heavy on fuel. It also doesnt help that you will have 300kw on tap which will get the...

Re: Y62 Patrol (Facelift) or V6 Prado (Facelift)

The Patrol will still be notably heavier on fuel than the Prado.

Real life consumption (on road) will probably be 20-22L/100km in the Patrol. Around 15-17L/100km in the Prado.

    Re: Recommended Engine Oil - 1GR-FE 4.0 V6

Is there any variant of the Liqui Moly that is recommended? There seems to be quite a few ???

Greenhorn - Would it not be recommended to use a 5W-40 for our "hotter" climate?

    Recommended Engine Oil - 1GR-FE 4.0 V6

Howzit guys, what oils are you running in the V6? Have seen a few threads on the topic and seems like the engine is very happy to run on fully synthetic oils.

The manual recommends either a 5W-30...

  13. Suspension Re: Toyota Fortuner suspension upgrade - Bilstein,OME,Fox

I know they are not on your list, but I have Amada Xtreme coils and shocks and I am really happy with them. They are also cheaper than all 3 options listed - ħR12k IIRC.

I was looking very closely at the RT+ before, but eventually decided not to due to lack of "real-world" reviews (Chickened out).

Would be awesome if you could keep us updated through the lifespan...
