    Re: Booming defender solved

I used to get this with my Hardtop Tdi. If you open one of the rear windows to the first detent, it seems to reduce this a bit

    Re: Transfer case selector motor

If itís not working you have nothing to loose by opening it up. But check that itís actually getting a signal before doing that.

    Re: Defender sagging left back

The rear springs have probably settled, and not evenly. I think they are unique for each corner, so you will need to correct replacement, not just simply re-tensioned.

Re: Vehicle with off road trailer recovery

It clamps the rope, so I donít think it would work with a plasma rope. From a weight point of view, it would be worth investigating

Re: Vehicle with off road trailer recovery

Support here from me too on this. Iíve never had a fixed winch, but travelled many trips with a Turfor and cable. They are heavy and slow, but get a steady pull, without a lot of effort. A bit bulky...

    Re: L/C station wagon 4.2 - value?

Iíve said this before, but L/C prices are overrated. I sold a 2013 79 4.2 with 65k km in 2018 for R380k, eventually. The usual buyers, dealers, webuycars etc offered R310k. I ended up with a private...

Re: Amarok - AC Blower Motor Not Switching Off

I wonder about the codes. It will not be an engine fault code, but could be in the Body control unit code. If you think the air on is acting up, ask for BCU codes to be read.

    All of them, not...

    Re: Land Cruiser 300 - 3.3L V6 diesel

I think the car/suv future is smaller, more efficient petrol engines running hybrid electric combinations. Pure electric being limited to urban and peri-urban applications.

Re: Amarok - AC Blower Motor Not Switching Off

It might be, but sounds too complicated. My old Volvo XC70 just had a programmed 10 min or so. It wasnít linked to a moisture sensor.

Have you got a code reader that can pull the fault?

In my view, again, itís blower motor resistor. And the cause is fan overloaded causing too much amps being pulled! But Iím far awayÖ

Re: Those who said, electric vehicle, NEVER!

I think maintenance is very low. Only wear items like tyres and brakes and software upgrades. At time x a new battery(hell of a price) and then ultimately recycled.

Agreed on H2, I think itís more suited to heavy transport.
