    As a temporarily measure I would maybe drill a hole, insert 50mm bolt from inside, use lock nut or nut and spring washer and use vice grip pliers as new handle.

    Saw a braai where each person pulls their own coals from center to their own grid. Looks more sociable than a braai in a wall. Considering building one myself.
