Klaserie is 100.8% op 11/01/21 en Blyde Dam is 100.07%, met die naweek se reen gaan dit net nog aanhou oorloop!

Re: Summer rains, is this unusual or just a reset.

Hoedspruit is standing on 450mm average for the summer so far. 100mm more than total rain for last 3 seasons, and we are only entering our main rain months now. Most rain on record for October,...

Rescued and relocated two snouted cobras in the last two days on the farm, the rain has the snakes very active!599421599422599423

    Re: Treg Owners

For my old V6TDI, I got Sachs for the front from GW. Rear I believe is Bilstein, also from GW. Very decently priced, front shocks including new mounts were R4080 including VAT for both. Never got...

The only official camping area there is the Serala Forest Station, very basic and a bit run down when I was there last year. However it is a good base to explore from, accessible by a long and bad...

    Dit moes fantasties gewees het!

Ek wonder gereeld hoe mens die plek kan omskep in 'n oord, soveel potensiaal... Die piekniekplek is nog daar, lekker swemplek!

    Re: Snake ID please

    Sorry, somehow forgot about this.

The snake in the OP is confirmed by ASI as a Herald. The 'loose' skin is its neck expanding as it is consuming a toad, not a hood.

    From ASI:

Once you see the Limpopo sign towards Ohrigstad, the road is fine. MP side of the road still potholed, but mostly fixed now

Re: Mariepskop in a Freelander 2

I was up there about 3 weeks ago.

Very doable, just be sure to get there before the rains start in November, some washed out sections, especially towards the top. But absolutely worth it.

    Re: Best route to Graskop/Pilgrimsrest

Dullstroom-Lydenburg, best option by far. Watch out for potholes after Lydenburg on the way to Ohrigstad, however they are busy fixing the road

Re: Is the extra cost worth it?

    Will fit them...
  26. Re: Best route Pretoria to Orpen Gate (KNP) towing a caravan?

Second the Dullstroom-Lydenburg-Orighstad-Hoedspruit route, by far the best. Some potholes between Dullstroom and Lydenburg, and between Lydenburg and Orighstad up to the Limpopo/Mpumalanga border...
