Re: Going from 255 to 265

Ok, but you'll still need to look carefully to see the difference with a 265/70/16.

Re: Going from 255 to 265

If you go from a 255/60/18 (which is what I think the Navaras have) to a 265/60/18, the difference is so small you will be hard pressed to notice it. If you go to a 265/65/18, you might run into some...

    That is fantastic news..
  4. Re: 97 Cruiser GX 80 Diesel vs 98 Nissan Patrol GL 4500

I'm sure the Patrol is just as good or even better than the Cruiser. But I'll take the Cruiser every time. It's just sexier. Would have preferred the 4.5 Cruiser though..

Re: Massive rain system Botswana. Be safe

Is this what they used to call the ITCZ - Inter Tropical Convergence Zone? In Zim, once the ITCZ arrived, it generally meant plenty of rain for a good long while.

    Re: Ironman Suspension

Your comment about speedbumps is very interesting. In my area, there are LOTS. But, most people seem to think that a Fortuner is not allowed to slow down for a mere bump in the road. So I can very...

    Re: Tyres Pressure Gauge

I have an ARB that I'm very happy with. If it start giving issues, you can take it back to 4x4Megaworld and they can send it in for a refurbishment.

I honestly don't think any handheld gauge will...
  10. Suspension Re: Mixing and matching suspension components

Well in theory, the ride could be too hard or too soft? Not too much else? I guess if there's a BIG difference between the shocks and springs, it could get dangerous, but if they're both for the same...
  11. Suspension Re: Mixing and matching suspension components

Yes, most suspension kits are built for a specific weight rating. So if your EFS is built for 300kg weight in the back of your car, you need to make sure you get the same rating in the new shocks....

Re: Camp Master Safari Cooler vs Romer

I honestly don't think you can go wrong with either of them. I've had the Romer 65l for about 5 years now and it's superb. If you use it properly, it will hold ice for 5 days and it's basically...

    Re: Is this it?

The Cybertruck is a great example of function-over-form. All the details are practical. The overall shape is due to body being a structural element - there's no separate chassis so the body needs to...

    Pierre,

The comments in this link, seems to confirm your assessment that the shocks might be too short.

Re: Also now part of the Wolfpack. V6 Amarok.

Thanks Pierre, I think it was your comments about the over-extension I was thinking of.

The Ironman/EFS/OME kits generally promise about 50mms of lift, so I'm a bit wary of them. The consensus...

Guys, I'm in two minds here and would appreciate some thoughts...

So I got a quote from Mikem for their suspension setup - about R19k with the Bilstein B6 shocks, their own coils and so on.

  28. Re: Wireless Remote Trigger thingie for Canon

The 90D is brand new so it MUST have wifi. ;D

So play around with the Canon Connect app first. If that fulfills your needs, you maybe don't need to buy a remote trigger.
  29. Re: Wireless Remote Trigger thingie for Canon

What Canon do you have? Some of the newer cameras - even the 7DMKii - can take a wifi connection. So you can trigger the shutter and change all your settings from a phone or tablet that is connected...
