    Re: Turbo question

That GW quote must be wrong. That turbo even from VW new should not exceed 20K in my mind. Give VagSpecCentre a call, they are in Randburg, see what they can assist with

    Re: Audi TT

Should have the gen 3 TSI like in the MK7 GTI, way better than the previous Gen TSI from what I have seen. If DSG should be 7 speed , which should be wet clutch. Should be a reliable car in my opinion

Could be clutch/flywheel, is the "miss" there both in neutral or only when in gear with clutch depressed?

Is it not more likely that a lean condition would cause that issue as opposed to a rich condition?

  7. Re: To map or not to map Fortuner GD-6 4x4 is the question???

The quality of the map/Tune/Tuner etc is the key to this question. I tune and have had many cars and with my respective tune/tuner/provider, I have had no issues thus far.

    Re: Vw touran 2,0tdi question

I have a dyno sheet somewhere of my old 1.9tdi Cupra with a K&N flat panel filter vs the stock filter. Zero difference in peak power figures, what did change if I recall was a pickup of torque at the...

Re: Navara D23 2.3 nie wat hy beloof om te wees.

Some manufacturers overstate their figures and some understate their numbers. An isolated dyno of a new Navara means very little, what may be of concern is if a few of them make less power than a d4d...

Re: 90kw engine life (milk bottle?)

Mine better last, I am driving it until the wheels fall off or until the V6 gets to a price level I am comfortable with, which ever comes first. I just need to hope the motor is more reliable than...

Re: 90kw engine life (milk bottle?)

Saw one the other day on one of the FB groups over 500000km's, also have not heard of common turbo issues with them so they should last provided they are maintained
  12. Re: VW Transporter Crew Bus 4mo stuck in sand question

TC on vs TC off is a huge difference in soft sand. I tested it in Mozam my first time there with my first Amarok. TC active and I got stuck very quickly in the soft stuff, power cuts and bogged. TC...

There are a ton of tuning companies that can do a generic map, its easy and quick, and a few grand. You always risk loosing your warranty so you need to decide. Mine is tuned and the extra power is...

I have never towed 3 tons with mine so cannot comment but I would say at that weight you probably better off with displacement especially if you want to tackle hills. Most I have towed is probably...

Leasure Wheels article Ama V6 vs X Class 350d

In the latest Leisure wheels article Hannes Grobler tests the 2 vehicles on a Dyno. 165kw Amarok V6 made 20HP more on the dyno than the 190Kw X class. Mercedes being optimistic with their figures or...

Seems the EGR valves on all models have their issues, leaking units can cause major issues, have seen reports of EGR issues causing issues on FORD/Mazda, Amarok, Isuzu etc. I monitor mine closely for...

    Re: Power Upgrades?

If doing a remap I would suggest a decat aswell just to control the temps, never hurts. Typical gains on most newer gen TDI's would be 20-30kw and 50-80nm of torque which is plenty. Money well spent...

    Auto Amarok re-sale values

Not 100% sure how different the EGR is between the bus and an Amarok but the Amarok blanking kit is available from VagSpecCentre and they do the related software as well.

Re: Ford Ranger T6 - Remapping by JnesTuned

We need to remember that dyno numbers are just numbers, A dyno operator can make the numbers as big or small as he wants by changing parameters between runs...I am not saying this is the case here....

    Re: ECU / software tuning

You want to likely fix a hardware issues with tuning? You need to look at the root cause of the issue, its not related to bad tuning in my mind
