    But gee, it needs free O2 and extreme heat, one of which is not present in an EGR circuit..........

    The TJ Wranglers are bullet-proof. Yes, they guzzle juice but apart from some gearbox issues, are mostly completely without problems.

    You've just contradicted yourself.

    A 1.1bar cap implies a coolant temp of 110 deg C at sea level. How can the head be below boiling?

    Is the TD5 a wet sleeve engine or do you need to rebore?



    That's how I understand it as well: adhesive on the TD5 gasket will impede the compression sealing of the gasket.
