Didn't even know there is a Sasol there now, it used to be an Exel garage, haven't been there in years.

Sasol Dastek is probably one of the cheapest in Pta, there's one a bit further down the road not sure how much they are per liter.

Which "experts"? Sounds like a matter of opinion.

I fail to see how a service will affect diesel consumption. I'm also comparing Sasol 10ppm which as far as I know is not available in PE to Engen...

Interesting, my brother and I got our worst consumption with Engen, granted that was with petrol vehicles. With my 2.4 Hilux the consumption was also terrible on Engen.

    The other major reason I...

Fortuner Re: Longevity of 2.8 model

It does, the 3 D4D has a belt. The OP was asking about the 150000km service of the 2.8 and if it's also expensive, to which I replied it shouldn't be because of the timing chain.

Fortuner Re: Longevity of 2.8 model

The 2.8 has a chain so you "skip" the major 150000km service.

  25. Re: Ford very finnicky over petrol - 2nd engine replacement imminent.

Ford is conveniently blaming the fuel used, when it's a defective engine. If it was fuel then there would be a lot of similar cases from other brands with small turbo engines like Renault or VW.
