    Re: Cape Town Harbour experts?

Yes, "that thing" is what I'm after. It isn't the primary waste line, as that pipe runs into the sea. But it could be related to waste processing?

    Cape Town Harbour experts?

What is this breakwater doing there? I assume it is protecting something, but what?

    Amarok flatspot/surge at 1900 rpm

My Amarok has developed a mild flat spot or faint lag/surge around 1900-2000 rpm. Probably more a flat spot than a surge, but something is definitely off in that rev range. I first noticed it a while...

Fellow Western Capers, what is the current situation regarding driving inside Jonkershoek? Can I? Or can I not?

Re: Jk Unlimited 3.6 fuel consumption

I had a 2013. It still had the 6 speed automatic, IIRC. Or was it a 5 speed? Can't remember. Either way, it wasn't the 8 speed.
    I ran 33's on a 2 inch lift. I averaged around 15 l/100km. When you...

    Re: (Fake) Fuel Shortage

Hi Bots guys, has the situation changed at all? I just heard that the fuel shortage is actually becoming a real concern?
  8. Original Discovery 4 Dog Guard replacement parts?

I've just sold an old original Disco 4 dog guard on to a new owner. Problem is that apparently two fitment bolts are missing. They must have remained behind when the guard was removed. This was two...
  9. Poll: Re: Poll: Will you buy the new Ford engineered and built Amarok?

I clicked no and I drive an Amarok. But I'm not going to buy a VW-built Amarok again either, so I feel the poll is missing some options.
  10. Sourcing a rear light cluster - Cape Town area

I'm slowly fixing up all the niggles on my Amarok with a view of selling it in the relatively near future. One of the things which I need to fix, is a crack in one of the rear brake light clusters....

    Re: MTB ratchet set

I used to go by feel and it worked pretty well. However, with carbon, I decided to buy a proper torque wrench. Got one from CWC, if I remember correctly. To be honest, I haven't really used it much,...

    Re: Back seat cup holder!

Just get a toddler to step on it. Mine broke off long ago. One day I'll need to fix it, but not yet. It'll just get stepped on again.
  14. Re: How long will we be able to keep the internal combustion engine running?

I think it will be supported by an aging demographic (with a couple of exceptions). With time EV's will eclipse the current vehicles in all areas. Young petrolheads will become young voltheads and...

    Re: Gas and paraffin lights

I also dug up two gas lights recently. I couldn't throw them out. Too many memories. I'm way too sentimental and bit of a hoarder, I know.
I cannot see myself using them again, so they'll have to go...

With what should I replace my Disco 4?

I have started looking at a replacement for my 2017 Disco 4. It is Swambo's daily and we use it for trips and holidays. It is perfect for our needs, but I'm allergic to D4's outside warranty/service...

    Re: Amarok tailgate lock

At some stage I will need to replace this one too. Central locking has long ago decided to also ignore the tailgate.
But it has never fallen out and works well with a key. Good luck.

Re: Would you buy a Lexus LX 570?

Just be aware that if you are tall (as in approaching 2m), you may have issues with headroom. Skoonpa drives one and for the life of me I cannot get comfortable behind the wheel.

Yesterday I noticed this damage on the right rear tyre of a Prado parked next to me. Why did this tyre crack like this? Could it be from high-speed impact? I've never seen a tyre crack on the...
  33. Re: From a LC Double Cab v8 to a LC Double Cab v6 questions
