    Adjust the brakes until they are solid/fixed/binding, then you can bleed and you have removed one less thing that can move under compressed air.

    I doubt it.
    It's not like extracting a bolt, which is a solid thing.

    That glow plug is carboned up.
    The removals I've seen is:

    Remove head
    Drill out as much as possible of glow plug....

    Most probably sand.

    You live in the cape, that's full of sand.
    Dirt road, Atlantis dunes or near the beach.

    Somewhere some sand got in the vicinity of your filler cap or dipstick.

    Mine has always done this and I have replaced the original thermostat with a new Waxstat 2 years ago.

    Nothing changed except that the new one makes my engine run 2C hotter, from 88C to 90C.

    Mine takes about 10k's, open road at 90km/h, before I'm at 89C if it helps.

    Downhill mine has always dropped it's temperature.
