Can't help with oil issue.

But had problem with aircon soaking footwell. Turned out to be drainage pipe that got rubbed through where it goes through the firewall to drain in engine bay. Just...

Not my experience. Renault Clio II that passed my doorstep had original radio. Every time battery disconnected, enter code.

Remove radio and found code via serial no on internet

Codes are linked to the radio Serial number. Radio has to come out to get the serial no.

Plenty internet sites (some dodgy) that will give code linked to serial no
