Fish Fever in Gansbaai.... All the tackle you will need! :)
  2. Re: Which spinning reel for rock and surf angling?

Fish haven't changed. Marketing has however. Was away the weekend and saw the PBs with old rods and Penn 500s doing better than the ones with all the mod cons.

Beware the teeth. If you get a nick, it doesn't stop bleeding. Anti coagulation muti on the teeth.
Pop an eye and the Vitreous Gel will see you right.

    Teeth are sharp.

Re: Gansbaai GTG yet again December!

So, a bit late, but we did manage to get together and go for a drive. 6 Vehicles in total. A few members here, and their friends. Was great fun to test out vehicles and had one or two little...

    Home Workshop in Cape Town

Howdy. I need some mods done on a lawnmower. 4 holes drilled, a bolt welded in, a bearing welded on and a hole drilled for a split pin.

Not the kind of thing mower repair people do. Engineering...

Re: Front , rear or twin locked? Good video

Very interesting, The "diff steer" is real from the rear diff. IFS does not really like a front locker, so, keep it straight, and carry a few spare CV joints, and the tools to replace them, and of...

Re: Power off the beaten track.

OK, so coming back to this, my 155W portable panel connect to the controller to the battery, ran my 50L Waeco superbly. Fridge happily ran through the night, and battery charged up in the day.

    Re: Isuzu over charging

On a 280, you need to remove the alternator, replace the oil seal as well.
  14. Re: Another ASPW Perspective: Stop using diff locks

This isn't even a joke, I think this is a skill you should know how to do. Failed master or slave cylinder or something like that, it is useful to know how to do, on any manual vehicle. not just 4x4.
  15. Re: Another ASPW Perspective: Stop using diff locks

This is way better because it is a specific reference to a topic. That other thread is a mish mash of other things and the reference as to using the locker on my own paid for vehicle or not, is my...

Ok, so my 50L Waeco, will it run for the 12 dark hours on a 102 battery, a Varta out of a Touareg, and will the 155w fold up panel I bought with a 20w controller charge it, or will I eventually sit...

Re: De Mond reserve - lagoon open?

Wow, that is strange to hear that it was closed. Possibly low rainfall. They usually let that one open naturally because it is tidal. The fishing is superb.
