Just to add. Use the R40 from Witrivier to Hazyview. R538 is not that nice.

    Re: Wanted: Amarok V6 Extreme

What is the empty weight of the trailer?

3000L of diesel weighs more or less 2.55T.

Two good videos when looking at double cabs as tow vehicle.

Re: Prado 150 VX Diesel @ 185k kms and up?

Have you googled "Prado cracked piston"? It is a well known fact and loads of vehicles have been affected.

Not as common as D3, D4 crank failures but hardly unknown.
  8. Poll: Re: a Dedicated trail vehicle - What one would you choose from these?

    JKU Wrangler.

Jeep probably has 50% of the world market share when it comes to dedicated trail vehicles. You do get the odd other modifiable vehicle but off the shelf the Wrangler is very tough to...

Re: Prado 150 VX Diesel @ 185k kms and up?

What saskia said and especially the rear shocks and KDSS system are expensive to repair.

There is also the odd cracked piston that plagues the diesel Prado. See below thread for details.

Re: The old 2.2 with hole in piston

Ek dink ook so. 200km oor is niks. Vra hulle eers baie mooi, jy het mos die toetse op 120k gedoen en seker die bewyse daarvoor. Moet dit nie net so aanvaar nie. As dit moet, kontak Ford SA ook.

Well, music is against the park rules and so is stealing the electricity. Wrong is wrong. If you let small things slide it won't be long before you have a nice "doef-doef" party camping next to you.

That will be for the Takata airbag recall. They just replace the relevant airbag. Nothing else. I suggest you get it replaced. There already were a couple of mortalities due to those airbags.
