Re: Castrol GTX CI-4 Diesel oil any good?

This is a debate that will rage for years. Even if you consult the tribologists.

Personally, I use a 15w-40 CI-4, all year round. But I do use Uniglide with every oil change. And I change every...

    Re: Legend 35 (KZ-TE) with D4D transplant

    Still busy.
CSIR is going to make me some injector bodies, that will match the dimensions of the electronic injectors. This is not a cut and dry exercise. This is a typical R&D excersize.

  10. Poll: Re: What do you feel more comfortable with, newer car, or an easier to fix car?

I remember, sitting in the drive-in, in Nigel and BMW had a ad, that showed them bury the carburetor. They only had fuel injected cars.

Immediately I though we have big problems coming up. No...

If you guys are still looking at engines, I might have a 3F Land Cruiser engine that will be available. Should do the job quite well.

  16. Re: Grand Cherokee advice: which engine spec to get?

Friend of mine has an Overlander with the 3.0 CRD engine. I am not a Jeep guy, but that car is brilliant. Pulls very strong and returns about 8.6l/100km.

I did some work on it and it is as right...

Yes it does. Not to much. You literally just want to hear it cough.

I had a 1.9tdi and I loved it. Dropped a valve and wrecked the turbo. Rebuilt the motor and she ran like the clappers again.

    Re: Land Cruiser 300 - 3.3L V6 diesel

Well, the 3l v6 diesels are not bad. Drove a Jeep GC for a couple of weeks. VM Motori engine. 8.6l/100km. 190kw. Very impressed.
