    We were also not checked at Oshoek. We were however willing to pay for the meat permit if need be.

    Re: Maputo Elephant Reserve entrance fees

    Here is my view based on our trip to Santa Maria in December.

    Reality;

    They will not allow you to enter without a 4x4. And if they do allow you to...

    Re: Neotrek roofrack for Jimny

    I tried working this out a couple of time. I think it's impacting me about 0.5km/l. Obviously it depends on what kind of driving you do. If you drive city traffic it will be less. I drive a lot of...

    Re: Cost of maintaining a Jimny

    Same here, used 93 for 2 years, then tried 95 for 3 months. No difference. Now back to 93. I do however like to throw in 95 when I'm pulling a trailer or loaded to the brim.

    Re: Neotrek roofrack for Jimny

    Properly tested mine this holiday. Very very impressed with it. No issues, easy to tie stuff down. Had a Jerry can and other camping gear on there.

    I did not know you can just transit through. We will also be staying in Santa Maria. I'm under the impression that you need to pay the full fees. ???

    Re: Maputo Elephant Reserve entrance fees

    Do you know what the current entrance fee to the park is?

    And do they have a POS, or should we take cash?

    Re: Life with a Jimny

    I did 2 trips towing with 4 people in the car. Both trips were about 5000km.

    My tip for you is to try and keep 120. The first 1000km we kept to 100 - 110km/h and it was not nice. The moment there...

    Re: Jimny Wind up

    Next time when this happens, just revers 10m or so to allow the diff to unwind before you disengage 4wd. This will allow for a smoother disengage.
