    Re: Inverters

Please help me understand the Sunsync unit.
I do not see that you can connect a power meter to it, so how can it do Zero consumption?
Only advantage is that you can parallel these units, so...

    Re: Deep Cycle Battery

There is just too many places to mention.
    Do a google search.

You looking for a decent shop or a decent battery?

Personally I like the gel batteries. They have much less issues than lead acid.

    Re: Battery for electric vehicle

Due to the large loads drawn on these batteries for cars, nearly all of them is liquid cooled.
Perhaps you can try it for a smaller hobby car?

Yes, dont want to be funny but only using 360 units per month is nothing!

Perhaps just look at a pure UPS solution. Then you not bothered with all the solar issues too.

Feeding excess power back to a dump load, like a geyser is something a Victron can do.
The Goodwe can also do it, but it is not a programmable option and it will also use power from your batteries...

Ok, just some free advice that I can also share.

If you looking to go solar with your geyser, increase water capacity.

Re: Need help with RCT axpert inverter charger

I suspect your batteries might be the problem.
Have you inspected each one individually?

To get to 48V with 8 x 12V batteries, you had to make 2 strings.
From the original install to now, the...

Re: Solar System for Home ( yet another :)

    1. Try to aim for higher than grid voltage on your MPPT. So try to aim for higher than 230V.
That should be around 6 panels or more.
    2. That is why dual MPPT controllers is very nice. You can have...

Re: What pumps to go for with solar in mind

Depending on the size of borehole pump you have, you could just change to a single phase VSD.
Only thing you have to double check is the voltage on the motor, as the VSD will give you 230V 3ph and...

@jcdup , what you describing in points 1 to 3 can only be done with a proper Hybrid invertor.

  28. Re: Step by Step guide for DIY hybrid inverter with gennie backup installation - plea

    So far all sounds normal.
Fuel pump will try to maintain pressure in the system even if the ignition is off, same like an electric fan.

To be honest, 0.5Amp at 12V is really nothing! That is only...
