    Yes just before the river. That was the worst road that had to be built. Was almost a turn around point for us but were were too far committed to turn around

    Was an epic trip.
    Luckily we had 80 pairs of gum boots to trade for labour. And at R30 per “road builder” it was a bargain to use the locals.

    We did the most epic 4x4 trip with Halfway Toyota 17 to 22 April.
    We started at Ficksburg, Semonkong then over the mountains to Katse.
    We could clearly see that we were the last cars through...

    Ive always used my front bumper or side rails with hi lift jack.
    Recently fitted steel rear bumper so just use those points

    I've had mine from just under 20000km and it now has 103000km
    i had my propshaft replaced but didn't have a problem with it, did it proactively
    I replaced a CV joint

    my FJ has had a hard life...

    The 2 at the back was removed wit the free flow a while ago. no engine lights came on.
    Then recently i removed the 2 in front by just cleaning them out. so the CAT sensor is still in place, no...

    maybe a bit lighter on fuel and it sounds better now. Also doesnt shift down to 4th on the highway if you put foot from 120km/s
    I think its worth it

    I took mine to the local mechanic down the road from me. He opened the CAT up, took everything out and then put it back again. R300

    Do you have any suggestions of places that can instal a dual battery in the FJ Cruiser? It will entail moving the original battery.

    When i bought my FJ it had 10 000km on, i removed the standard suspension the first week. Still laying at my house.
