  1. Re: Solar panel and bigger battery for my alarm system?

You can also try PSS in Hatfield for batteries and other back up options.

    Re: Engine Braking vs Brakes

My Pajero auto gears down when it detects an increase in speed with your foot off the accelerator. It will keep gearing down until the speed remains constant or decrease. I believe that if it was...

Re: What did you see on the road today?

I saw three vintage cars on Friday on my way to work and back. Could only snap this one. The others were an original Ford Cortina and a Volvo Amazon, both on a transporter.550312

    Re: Fiat Panda......Why not??

RPiet, personally it is it just something to get used to. Even the thee cylinder engines were met with some scepticism when they were introduced, similarly the 2.0 Amarok.

    Re: Fiat Panda......Why not??

The new Panda is a 2 cylinder jobby (yes only two).

    That makes me slightly nervous.

Correct. Places that install alarms normally sell the case/holder. Replaced mine for I think R70.

    Re: Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10

I currently have a set on my Pajero. Done about 80000 km and can do at least another 10000. Only one puncture so far due to a 15cm piece of round bar. I don't do a lot of off roading, probably...

Re: Car jammer at the office. Is there any hope?

You have it easy. With my old merc you have to turn the key and then pull on a second knob for dear life for a while before it will start.

Re: Vitara Allgrip on the beach?

If you are not traveling on your own you can try it and have some fun. I did it years back in a 2wd Nissan and never got stuck. The back roads from the borderpost straight to Malongane are actually...

    Re: Pajero low range problem

Just to add. You need to go through all the options on a regular basis to keep things moving. Mine is auto but the principal remains the same I think.

I assume you put it in Neutral when you went from high to low range? What I do is to engage 4LLc, start driving and then lift off the throttle and then apply the throttle again. Never had an issue...

    Re: All-new Isuzu D-Max teased

Maybe we are lucky and they will start importing the new D-Max before the local manufacturing kicks off. Other manufacturers have done it before. I am afraid that in two years time the D-Max with the...

Suspension Re: 2014 Hilux 4x4 diesel

At 200k km the bakkie should not show a lot of ware and tare, if it was cared for, and then it is a good buy at the price. It should also be good for another 200k km if the services are kept up and...

    Re: Vitara, which one?

Have a look at the off road YouTube videos to get an idea if what the Allgrip Vitara is capable of. It is surprising to see what they can actually do.

Suspension Re: 2014 Hilux 4x4 diesel

The price is low for the model year but then again the mileage is high for the model year. Sounds as if it is a private buy so there will be no recourse if something goes wrong and that should also...
  25. Re: This is the best way to blow one bar: buy a Maserati.

So tell me. Did that car put a smile on your face every time you drove it?

Or would you rather have dreaded every day you drove your car for that slightly better return on your investment?
  26. Re: This is the best way to blow one bar: buy a Maserati.

Let me see, drive a Maserati and loose 72% or drive a Nissan Leaf and loose 71%, easy choice. Maybe it is just me.

The scenario is definitely different in SA. Over here the manufacturer with the...

    Re: Isuzu x-rider or amarok

Strange but true - the Amarok has been on the market in its current form since 2010 and the Isuzu since 2012. So the Amarok's replacement is long overdue and can't be too far away. I would just wait...
