Re: Squeaking brakes after pad replacement

I had the same after my last service when they replaced the pads.

A year later it was still squeaking.
At my next service I was told that the disks needed skimming. R1000 later.

    Three days...

Re: Help Needed - Tyre Longevity Data

    100-110k on a set?
    I know they're rated for about 50'000km.

I looked at a bakkie the other day, 41000km on them and the tyres (same as above) were almost finished. Down to 3mm tread.

If you only want to use it for Loadshedding, why not just look at the Royal 1150k?

Re: New NL Battery Box - The All in One Solution??

    Battery.

The reason for the new DC-DC chargers instead if simply using a solenoid, is that with the newer vehicles, the alternators are not strong enough (well, enough voltage) to correctly charge...

Re: RSI Traybin - Can we get it?

Re: RSI Traybin - Can we get it?

It's a replacement for your loadbin.

So you remove the loadbin and turn your bakkie into a flatbed basically, with drawers.

I think version 2 of the Bundutec tent has a fix for this. It is mentioned as one of the improvements of the new version.

Re: Mercedes - not what it used to be

My father had the W203, the C200K in automatic. He loved it.
He was very annoyed at himself when he sold it, at 250'000km. Not a day's worth of issues other than normal wear and tear.
    The mechanic...

Anything that can shake loose, will shake loose if you've done say 130'000km on plaaspad. So make sure all of those wear and tear items related to such is checked (as above).
