    Here is your answer to make the rev counter on the BM work. All you need to do is find the rev counter input on the instrument cluster.

    I have done this on a Ranger with a Ford 302 v8 conversion....

    Everyone is talking conversion and engine replacement. Is it not worth try to establish what is wrong with the current engine. Have a proper assessment done by a pro. Maybe it is only injectors.

    Petrol in a high Tech common rail engine will kill your injectors. Do as Tgwinduna says get the right additive to add or you can end up with costly repairs.

    You have no support on the areas circled. Even a 10mm plate will give way as it will tend to flex at the bends. You need a gusset or support over the U part.

    Very weak set up for cross member. It will give way in the circled areas. You need to bridge that with proper support.

    Some of the cheap catch cans have no internals. It is an empty canister that and will not do the duties of a oil catch can.

    Problem sorted from 2006. Engine will do 500k km with ease if treated with all services. Got two in my business. One auto and one manual. Going for 300k km with no serious repairs

    Chris there is 70k km left before you hit 300k km. Very few will buy a vehicle with 300k km on the clock. Chances are great the in end you will sit with a vehicle with no value soon.

    Do not confuse open and closed crank vacuum systems. I have installed a catch can on the v8 Cruiser. Modified the baffles inside to suite my liking. It do what it needs to do;D

    First time I hear of a 7MGE with seized cams. Maybe a faulty oil pump and the swap the heads out only to seize.
