Re: How to exit Nairobi/Karen towards Thika

    Hi Anne,

Good to know you are heading to Kenya and surely you wonīt regret it. I have not done that path so I cannot help you. WW is already on top of it, and so you will not be better informed...

Re: Liuwa Plains & Kasanka Nov 2019

Thank you Malcolm for the report back. I really enjoyed. And yes, our average fuel consumption at Liwua (Toyota Hilux) was very similar to yours ( 17,81l/100km). We might have crossed our ways, on...

Thank you for the wonderful report on Zim.

Picking up Stanīs words and your concern about the drought that is afflicting that part of Southern Africa, we could also observe those same effects way...

  10. Re: Too many tourists threatening Serengeti ecosystem?

Stan I agree with you. There is only one way, I suppose, to prevent this, and that will be increasing visiting fees and /or restricting access numbers. Further, strict rules, like those implemented...

I have not used them in Tanzania. Only in Kenya and they were fully professional. Others in this forum have used them more than once in Kenya and Uganda and also Tanzania.
    Hope this helps.

Thank you for this installment and adventure alike. Your description on the cicadas just made me recall our arrival at Forest Inn late afternoon. It was lovely just to sit down, relax and listening...

    Re: Private Rental

    Adrian,

IMHO it is a very tight (probably impossible!) budget for a 8 week "rental". Costs for maintaining a 4x4 reliably running on those roads/ conditions are quite high as you may well...
  18. Re: Liuwa Plain - location of new camp & campsite advice please

Indeed not a good attitude from AP( not me:)) and I would probably be, as well, not very satisfied. Their mid - northerly (between Sikale and Katoyana) location will give them a good base for...

Re: Trip report: Zambia & Namibia, Augist 2019

    Re: Epic Zambia: 2019 Trip

    Hi Tron,

    Re: Epic Zambia: 2019 Trip

    Re: Epic Zambia: 2019 Trip

As far as I know independent camping in Luambe is no longer allowed. The nearest you can camp will be at Kanunshya CCs. (northern) or Kalovia Cs (southern border).

  35. Re: Selous being split into two, part NP, part hunting reserve

    That is it Tony! The former will excuse the latter and vice-versa. Shame! Resources and resources... and at what price? ;

Wilderness areas are definitely doomed for future generations.
