  1. Re: Have I become stupidly obsessed with a Land Cruiser 100 1HDFTE

That's harsh, but the local manufacturers and exporters need that protection.
  2. Re: Have I become stupidly obsessed with a Land Cruiser 100 1HDFTE

So, if some folks have (grey) imported the 1HD-FTE, what stops the OP from getting an import permit and importing one himself?

There are 1HD-FTE galore on www.tc-v.com and www.beforward.jp, all...

Re: Toyota Landcruiser 105 or 76???

If money were no object, I would go for the 76 of course. It is more powerful, for those times you want to "leap" a little, and would also make towing a better experience. I also think it wins over...

    Re: LC200 4.7P - impressions and mods

That's much better than what I got when a buddy loaned me his 200 (the 4.6) in town.
My calculated consumption was between 3.9km/l over a period of 7 days. But this is mostly very heavy bumper to...

Re: Bargain, 2014 Prado 150 For Sale!!

Diesel is very economic. Heavy city traffic with AC will give you circa 8-9km/l, petrol will be nearly half of that.

The 3.0 d4d is not exactly a quiet motor, so you need to be ready for that. It...

  11. Re: Land Cruiser 200VX 4.7 V8 Petrol comments and opinions

Somehow those driving the 4.6 petrol swear by it over the 4.5 diesel, and likewise [emoji1]
  12. Re: Land Cruiser 200VX 4.7 V8 Petrol comments and opinions

Well, if it's city traffic consumption, that's about accurate. The D4 V8 gives about 4km/l (yes, not the LC200, but reasonably comparable).
  13. Re: Land Cruiser 200VX 4.7 V8 Petrol comments and opinions

Your kw/l metric is a bit self defeating here. The 200 has 195kw and 650Nm. That is NOT underpowered by any measure. That it's drawn from a 4.5 liter V8 motor is kinda a moot point. Power is power,...
