    Re: Treg Owners

Ha ha ha ha!!! We would not want that now.

Just feedback on my prop bearing story. Dropped it by my mate at prop city. They fitted a new bearing, cleaned and greased up a few other bits and...

    Re: Treg Owners

I very rarely drive in sport mode if you are referring to the gear shifter? Air suspension if I am not towing is in sport but towing I need to go up to comfort due to the low tow hitch.

    So in your...

That is really good!!!!! Is there a possibility of some different fuelling set ups etc Stephan? Massive variance from 700 to 900 kays a tank. I measure tank to tank on the odo. So reset when I fill...

    Re: Treg Owners

Sounds like your one that you sold would have been ideal for me to move onto.

Yep, they are damn thirsty. My T1 very rarely sees 700 kays out of a tank, regardless of how nicely I drive. Open...

    Re: Treg Owners

I tend to agree with this. But I must say I would love a facelift with the rear spare and all the same specs as mine has with regards to air, aftermarket radio etc. Very few available though.

How come you went with 2 solar panels? Im asking as on another thread I ended up going with one solar panel (120w 18 volt) and controller (20A) to keep a 130ah gel battery charged. Im assuming its...

Car picked up quite a few scratches from thorn trees and the tight trails plus some decent scratches on the rims. But thats part of it I guess.

    Karee Krans

Did a quick overnight here and took on a bit of the trail. Couple of difficult ones with my limited knowledge. I had my tyres at 2.5 bar. I have recently learnt softer would be better. I was just...

Re: Larger wheels on a Venter

Just for interest, we do this conversion for around R3100. This includes the labour to strip and lift and 3 x new 13 inch rims and tyres.

It would be a good idea to replace the axle bearings and...

Re: Larger wheels on a Venter

10 inch to 13 inch yes. Its relatively easy by welding in an extra saddle plate to act as a body lift. We do this often.

13 to 14 inch is a lot harder and will need bigger mudguards. You also have...

Re: What do I need? Solar

Im thinking this probably makes the most sense. So say 2 batteries, 2 panels, controller and then the inverter of course. Now the question of how to wire it all up. I think I must go pay a visit to...

Re: What do I need? Solar

That is exactly what I thought. If the set up is big enough to run the pool pump and a few plug ins, it will definitely be big enough to run the bits at night when the pump is off.

Re: Advice please for newbie 4x4er

Re: What do I need? Solar

As above. As reasonable as a price tag as possible without buying junk that will not last.

Honestly I am basing this off my latest purchase of solar panel, controller and deep cycle battery for one of my trailers. It was relatively reasonable. So I...

    What do I need? Solar

We have a triple garage that we built on a few years ago. I was wondering if we could make this DB off grid?

Re: Treg soft sand set up

I completely agree with you. A softer tyre is more prone to cuts, punctures, rips etc. Its a hard balance to find I guess. As mentioned the tyres on my treg just look too flat. I went to 1.5 bar and...
