Re: Overnight stop to Kruger from Howick

    That's a good drive.

We went up to Marloth in Dec 2020 and it took us 10 hours from Richards Bay via Pongola-Piet Retief. :o
Roads are great. Traffic not so much.

    Re: Gas Geyser Installed

I think the biggest contributor to a gas geyser being cheaper is the "on demand" hot water of the gas geyser vs the continuous heating in the electric one.

Re: Blue light behind tv ?

    The experts say red light.

But not wanting the place to look like a red light district, I would go for a dimmable white light. ;D Just to give off a warm glow behind the TV.

Re: Blue light behind tv ?

    What he said.

But why do you want a blue light behind the TV? For aesthetic effect?

I would warn against blue though. Blue light after dark is not good for your sleep. :)

    Re: Amper ingeloop

As die trailer deur 'n "reputable" maatskappy gebou was, sou die vinnigste manier gewees het om vir hom te se om hulle te kontak en dit met hulle te bespreek en summier sy nommer geblok het.

    Re: Gas Geyser Installed

I'm thinking to go gas geyser as well.

We bought a gas stove recently and our daily usage went from 30 units, down to around 23-24 when the domestic is not at home. I also started boiling water...

Re: Food linked to a specific season - Why?

Of course you can eat whatever you want anytime of the year. It's not against the law.

    Trip to Hluhluwe Game park.

Tried to get a good shot of the full moon. But it never comes out as seen with the naked eye.

    Roti!

The other day we made a beef curry, and I decided to try my hand at making roti's.

    Didn't come out too bad.

    Recipe as follows:

    2 cups flour
    2 tabelspoons oil
    Boiling water

I haven't traveled, but I would avoid the Melmoth/Eshowe areas. Same with Piet Retief/Pongola. Just too many "unknowns" on that road and we don't know what the sitrep is there.

I enjoy Mkhuze, but I would never take a non offroad caravan there.

The roads to the reserve is in a appalling state.
