Re: Victron100/15 MPPT Or 75/15 MPPT

Choice of words is critical. The 100/20 is also limited.

So the problem is not the fact that it is limited, but rather the value. ;D

Stupid point, but oh so important when writing...

    Re: Gas Geyser Installed

Guys, donít be fooled. It is technically almost impossible for gas to be cheaper than electricity, and nobody is saving R1000 a month, not even even if they run a hostel.

I can make my own electricity but I canít make gas.

Also load shedding lasts 2 hours, not two months.
  8. Re: Are these surface mount USB outlets available in South Africa yet?

I think you may be confusing, as I did, flush mount vs through hole mount where the connector is flush.

With flush mount there is no hole.

Re: Solar system for my 40l Engel Fridge

Depends. In the case of running an Engel, could be a good idea as it doesn't have a Low Voltage Cutout.

Then again, depends which is more important to you, preserving battery life or cold beers.

Re: Solar system for my 40l Engel Fridge

You really need to define what you would like to achieve.

Complete autonomy over extended periods. ie no external power and no driving for extended periods.

    Where you intend using it....

Re: Solar system for my 40l Engel Fridge

We just need to be careful here of not letting things get out of control.

Re: Not grid tied, solar when the sun shines

I think in a case like this the batteries should be set to never supply the load unless there is a power failure.

Their primary function is to make the job of the Inverter easy during glitches.
