    Re: Tpms

Before you replace it, try deflating the offending tyre to about 1 bar, and then re inflating.

Also, if the vehicle has been standing, I find that you sometimes need a good run, and then the...

    Re: Tankwa roads eating tyres

I think you need to be careful about a blanket rule for Tankwa "skallie" gravel and other areas like Namibia.

I'v done the Tankwa a few times and the only time I had a flat was running lower...

    Re: My First Car

Very likely that a pipe burst or came loose.

Check for black smoke under hard acceleration.

If its a variable turbo, the vacuum tube actuator may be broken.

They seem like a lot of fun, and if you can afford one, go for it.

R900K for a bakkie seems crazy.

But then all new vehicles seem crazy.

Re: My Venter trailer Bicycle Carrier solution

This can be done, but consider that you are moving the weight right to the back, so will need to be balanced with weight up front or you will get trailer slap.

    Re: Sunsynk guru/help needed

From my understanding, the inverter will power from any of the 3 sources depending on its settings.

    1) Grid Power
    2) Solar Power
    3) Battery Power

You can set it to prefer power in order....

Wrangler 2dr Re: Wrangler JK 2007 seat cloth

Take it to an auto upholstery place, they may well be ale to match it, or change them all to match for a reasonable price.

Seats cover also not a bad option.

    Re: Airbag Light on WK2

    Did the battery go flat?

I've had the airbag light go off from a flat battery on a VW before.

Do yourself a favour and buy the Jscan app with a decent bluetooth OBD reader.

Re: Upgrading from Duster, but to what?

It has an automated system like the Land Rovers. You select the terrain and it decides what the best combination of systems to engage.

I have the older system in the WK, and it works like magic.

Re: Upgrading from Duster, but to what?

TBH - a newer Duster would be my choice. Or the same Duster.

What exactly is in not fulfilling? I can't believe that any hiking trail road will be so bad a 4x4 duster can't make it.

  33. Re: Wanted: 17" JK rims to swap for 18" Grand Cherokee rims

  34. Re: Wanted: 17" JK rims to swap for 18" Grand Cherokee rims

Correct - you can't go wider then 255 without wheel spacers otherwise it contacts as per Skala

If a wheel spacer is properly built and bolted, I see no difference to an aftermarket offset rim with...
