    Re: Moar Southern Namibia (Again)

LOL, same here on both accounts.;)

Ian, I think your TR has inspired me to drop my planned Kruger or KTP trip late next year in favour of a quick loop through southern Namibia. I could do...

    Re: Advice CKGR camping.

All Sunday pan sites are good. Kori no 4 is quite close to the road.

You will need to book well in advance if you are planning to go in the prime months. Sunday pan sites are extremely popular.

    Re: Advice CKGR camping.

    Not nearly enough yes.

You don't mention via which gate you arrive and leave. That can play a role. I will spend all 4 nights at one site.

Assuming you enter and exit at Matswere gate, I...

Re: June / July Road Trip

I have to agree with Andrew. We spend 2 nights at Swadini in December and it felt very safe. It is literally at the end of the road and fairly secure.

I would rather stay at Swadini (or...

Re: Providing Water To Cats In CKGR?

Agreed the 'ranger' should be brought to book. That is seriously very bad advise, if true off course.

But then, not all staff one finds at a park gate are actual rangers. Some are just admin...

I found a school calendar with 2022 dates on the Department of Education's website, but I guess each school could make small changes.

I intend to keep looking for bookings. I can be packed for a 2 week trip within 3 days. No hassle. Plus I don't have a kid in school next year anymore.

Well I tried to make a booking for April next year at Nossob. Already fully booked, bookings opened today. >:(

The park is becoming too popular and obviously all sorts will be attracted. Sadly.

Did they make changes to the ablutions then? There was most certainly nothing lacking on our previous visits, but it is a good sign if the new owners make improvements.
