Re: Elephants dying in huge numbers ?

This is why my suspicion is a toxic plant with a poison that breaks down quickly and does not affect animals scavenging on the carcasses.

To me it is highly unlikely that it poisoning by cattle...

Re: Show us your Mountain and Road Bicycles

Darned addictive these things are Tufts. I put quite a few kilometres on my son's Giant Anthem (hopelessly too big for me), but it is an awesome bike for sure.

    Re: July Brekkie Run

It looks so nice and it has been so long ago since I met new forum members face to face. One day, when time is our own again, we would love to join on a dirt road drive type of outing. :)8-)

Our 14 year old 74 L National Luna performs faultlessly and it has been abused on extremely bad roads, dust and heat.

Re: Elephants dying in huge numbers ?

Well it is very wet year in the Delta.

What if a plant that has been absent for years now appeared again and the ellies are just not used to it? Or maybe some younger one's never ate it before?...

Yes it might have eventually. But the voice note, fake news, caused panic buying which did indeed cause a massive fuel shortage.

Re: Kgalagadi to Mabua road prep.

Guys.... It is not the vehicle or caravan or trailer that causes the damage. It is the nut holding the steering wheel. ;)

    This ^^^

We don't need water, showers, shade, power or shelter. But if I find 'surprises' buried just below the surface all over and toilet paper, that is it. I pack up and leave.

!!Re: Kgalagadi to Mabua road prep.

There is water suitable for showering and washing in Mabua. No need to fill both those water tanks, weight, weight, weight! You only need drinking water.

I would rather squeeze in another jerry...
