Re: TLF Bronco vs Wrangler vs LR DEfender

I am not sure that having the dealer ruin the car by cutting into the wiring harness is any better than having a dud from the factory, but yes, you are correct. You are also correct regarding their...

Bronco Sasquatch package comes with 35"s from the factory, the new Wrangler Rubicon Xtreme Recon also comes with 35"s from the factory as well as a mild lift as far as i recall.

Re: TLF Bronco vs Wrangler vs LR DEfender

I see there are owners of both ND and Rubicon on the forum, should be simple enough to set it up and see.

It doesn't seem like the new Bronco will be coming to SA, but if it were I am sure it...

Re: TLF Bronco vs Wrangler vs LR DEfender

I suggest you go and watch more of the TFL video's, I would say they are very unbiased in their assessments. They actually own both the Bronco and the Defender. That blue Defender is their 3rd ND,...

    Cherokee Re: 2016 TrailHawk 4x4 A/T

Sounds like a similar vehicle to what Hooly drives and he has had good service, also pretty capable off-road as far as I can tell. Perhaps try sending him a PM.

Re: Most "Comfortable" family road vehicle?

I hear the CX5 is really good, my pick would be a Q5. I swapped my Treg for a Q5. Yes there are lemons out there but just look for a nice one. The Q5 is a really fantastic all rounder.

    Skip the 2...

Drive a WJ Grand Cherokee before you pull the trigger on the D2, I was faced with the same choice some years ago and was basically committed to the D2 until I drove the Jeep. Both good choices, but...

  14. Re: What are your non negotiables when buying a 4x4?

I have to agree with that, sure there are other items too, but there are vehicles that on paper tick the boxes that won't get considered. For some of those there are good reasons, but for some there...

Re: Driving an automatic. Any general advice?

For flat towing the transfer case needs to be in neutral, effectively disengaging the gearbox and engine from the rest of the drive line. if you were to leave it in either high or low range you will...

Check your vehicle manual on that one, plenty of auto boxes should remain in drive while stationary so fluid is circulated through the box.

The other important item one should be cognizant of is...

Kinda like a coilsprung XJ with better diffs. I figure you can't go wrong with it unless you wanna tow heavy, then the V8 is probably better. But fuel consumption is probably about the same.

Re: 2 Different tyre sizes on 4X4

I think we will be better able to advise with more details.

    What vehicle?
    How big is the difference?

Probably not the best thing to do, but might be ok depending on the above.
