At 7A those Trojans will last forever, well almost.

Batteries get seriously clobbered in a Golf Cart. Frequent high discharges of over 100 A, ie every time you put your foot down. Deeep...

It will pay huge dividends to downsize the hairdryer to a 1000W when camping.

If you dont, or forget to throw the main isolator switch you are feeding back power into the grid.

    Re: Power for a modem

You donít need an inverter. Just a battery permanently connected to the modem and charger.

    Re: Power for a modem

OK - my point however being that one still has to add a charger to the mix to get a full solution.

    Re: Power for a modem

Look carefully. This unit is no good to you. It needs a 12V input to charge it. That is to say you still need to purchase a 12V supply/charger to make it work.

    Go for Richards PUP.

Re: What panel to use? - Solar advice

I think the question is how and what, not why.

And besides, a third charged battery (and charging system) while camping is never a bad...

    The answer is really simple.

    Phase 1.

Lay our R25K for a Goodwe or InfiniSolar Grid-Tied Hybrid with backup facility.

This week I had a Opel Corsa.

VERY pleasantly surprised. The controls felt like they were actually connected to something.

Brand new. Less than 1000km when I gave it back an hour ago.
