    Re: Fiat 1100 Gearbox Drain

Just an update. Thanks again JFH. I put some heat on the plug itself (quite a few vids on YouTube on undoing Loctite bolts), and out the drain plug came. Problem sorted with a little portable blow...

Thanks man. This helps a lot. Don't feel so bad now. I have had some "interesting" experiences working on this little car. Did the brake pads once... never again. One pair of hands wasn't enough. But...

As used on my 3.2 mall crawler 4x2.
    Gearbox:
The MT-82 6 speed manual gearbox calls for a Ford spec WSS-M2C200-D2. This is a Castrol Syntrans FE75W oil which is...

I just fitted a Willard 652. It cost me just under R1300. My original was a 48ah but the 652 is taller but with a much high ah rating.

I've got a 2012 3.2 manual and it did start in gear, but the clutch slave cylinder had failed (foot to the floor) and I had no other way of getting out of a dangerous area. It didn't like it, there...

    Re: Mazda/Ford 3.2 engine oil

Do any of the 3.2's have a DPF filter? This Shell spec is for engines with DPF. My 2012 doesn't, hence it runs on 50 or 500ppm diesel. That's why I went for the Ultra 5W40 synthetic.

    Re: 3.2 Cat Removal

Had my 3.2's Cat gutted / cleaned out the day after the 120 000km warranty expired. The innards were still a golden colour - so no sign of excess soot like I saw in my old Jetta 1.9 TDI cat.
